Call of Duty developer Treyarch has teased what is to come to its battle royale mode Blackout as the current DLC season changes over. Operation Zero is coming to a close after all, which started on December 11 and offered a new Operator, customisation options, and online map changes.

The upcoming Operation will begin on February 19 for PS4 users, and a similar suite of changes are expected. The short clip posted on Twitter shows a map of the current Blackout area, with sketched changes to its layout. The last significant change made to Blackout was the addition of the Hijacked ship on the west side of the map, so it'll be interesting to see what's new this time around.

Fans on social media have voiced their opinion on new content for Black Ops 4, as they feel the release schedule has been somewhat lacking compared to other online service games, and even previous Call of Duty entries. Treyarch studio design director David Vonderhaar has even been tweeting some responses to the community in which he tried to explain the situation with Black Ops 4.

Call of Duty will certainly be hoping to stay relevant in the battle royale scene after Apex Legends dropped seemingly out of nowhere last week to a huge audience following, sharing many traits like the first-person perspective and the loot system.

At the end of January 1.12 update notes for Black Ops 4 revealed a ton of changes to add content to the game, but what does Blackout need to change specifically?
