Developer Trion Worlds has partnered with DMM Games to bring their family-friendly voxel game Trove to PS4 in Japan, and what's more is that we also know this Japanese version will enter closed beta testing soon, in preparation for its upcoming digital and retail release in spring.
This version of Trove will feature the same kind of colourful MMO gameplay we've come to expect, and players who pre-order will get the Shiny Treasure Pack, featuring in-game items to spice up your life.
"We are really proud to be able to announce a partnership with Trion Worlds," said Kenichi Katagishi, President of DMM Games. "Like us, Trion Worlds is both a game developer and publisher, and we each share the same goal of bringing innovative, AAA titles to the gaming industry. Trove is an exciting game with millions of players from all over the world, and we're confident that Japanese gamers will love this game too."
"The Japanese audience is one of the most discerning gaming audiences in the world, and we're delighted to be able to bring Trove to their consoles," added Scott Hartsman, CEO of Trion Worlds. "DMM Games' enormous success in the Japanese gaming space, their strength as a publisher and experience as a platform make them the perfect partner to bring Trove to life in Japan."
