Let's just get this out of the way real quick; they're calling this a shaRkPG. If that isn't clear enough, Maneater is an open-world RPG that lets you play as a shark. Once unleashed into the wild, you can cause havoc around the place, developing from a baby bull shark into a legendary beast.

It's a unique premise, but one that also promises to retain more typical RPG elements like character and skill building. Pete is hell-bent on seeking revenge for his father's death, which was coincidently caused by a shark...

Although no release date has been announced, Maneater is yet another PC game that is opting for an Epic Games store launch. No other platforms have been announced just yet, but with Tripwire bringing their popular zombie shooter, Killing Floor 2, to consoles, we may see more platforms follow.

Will you be manically chomping in the world of Maneater when it launches?

REVIEW. Written by Ben Lyons
