Ubisoft reported a growth of 21 per cent for its last quarter (ending December 31), with €600 million coming in. Ubisoft singled out three factors for beating their own expectations, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (6.5 million), Kinect launch titles (2 million) and perhaps most importantly their line of Wii titles (mainly dance related) which sold 10.5 million copies.

Looking at sales split per platform Wii accounted for a stellar 44 per cent of Ubisoft's sales, trailed by Xbox 360 (29 %), PS3 (21 %) and DS (4 %). By the looks of it the decrease in sales from the DS platform (Ubisoft did big numbers a couple of years back with their titles aimed at young girls) has been replaced by the Wii dance craze.

Looking forward Ubisoft have a slow quarter with only a PC port of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Beyond Good & Evil HD, and a bunch of 3DS launch titles on offer. But Ubisoft remains committed to strongly supporting new platforms such as 3DS and NGP in order to take advantage and forge a strong position early in the life of the platform.
