A few days ago, it was reported that Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley had unfortunately passed away at the age of 24. Known for being a renowned caster in the Rainbow Six: Siege esports, and positive presence in the game's community, KiXSTAr's passing reverberated through the Siege scene, and now a week after the initial announcement, Ubisoft has released a statement where it has assured fans that KiXSTAr will be commemorated in-game.

"Our development team has been hit incredibly hard by this tragedy, and we send all of our love and support to KiX's family, friends, and colleagues. We've been truly touched by the community's outpouring of grief and remembrances over the past week and have noted the many ideas for how to properly memorialize such a giant within our game's history. Rest assured we already have plans in the works, but it's too early to share. We'll communicate this when the time is right."

KiXSTAr was also recently commemorated in a video on the Rainbow Six Siege esports channel, which you can take a look at here.
