With 2021 now in full swing, it's almost time to kick-off another year of Rainbow Six: Siege esports, but before we get to any of that, Ubisoft has announced a change coming to the US and Canadian Divisions.

From now on, the two divisions will be combined into the North American Division. The plan of this decision is to ensure that all North American players are competing at the highest level of competition. Considering the Canadian Division was created to grow talent in the country, this change will ensure that the already existing talent and up-and-coming ones are met with the highest level of competition possible.

To follow-up to this, the US and Canadian Challenger League will also be merged to ensure that that league also sees the best form of competition possible. This league will also play online as a continuation of the 2020 season.

The post detailing all of this information also does state; "These are just the first changes that we will be making for 2021, and we are excited to reveal more information once the Six Invitational wraps up in late February."

Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see what else the Rainbow Six: Siege team has in store for us.
