It happened last year with Splatoon. A truck shipping new stock of the highly-anticipated PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been robbed while on its delivery route.
Sony's Shuhei Yoshida confirmed on the official PlayStation blog that a heist took place in the UK and announced they were working with the police this very morning. The Worldwide Studios president recently added "stolen copies of Uncharted 4 may be circulating. Don't let criminals spoil Uncharted 4" on his Twitter, as the main concern for the company so far is preventing people from spoiling the game's story, as this adds to yesterday's street date-break by some retailers.
"We have some unfortunate news to report that a number of copies of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End were stolen while in transit. While we are continuing to work with the police to resolve the matter - which is the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation - it appears that a few copies of the game have surfaced in the UK."
Events also adds to already frustrated retailers, consumers and even press, who are seeing that many parties are getting the game before time. In this regard, allow us to be a little mean ourselves (press kit).
