Recently Valve made the controversial decision to stop regulating the games that enter the Steam storefront, but they did leave two particular caveats to this decision - the game's on sale cannot break the law, and they cannot "straight up troll". Now, swiftly after the new policy went into effect, they've already singled out two projects that they believe are doing the latter.

GamesIndustry is reporting that AIDS Simulator, Asset Flip Simulator, ISIS Simulator, and Triggering Simulator all have been removed.

This follows the school-shooting game Active Shooter, which Valve also felt fit under the "trolling" umbrella. That game never actually went on sale on Steam, but it won't get the chance now either way.

It's currently unknown whether there's a set of rules governing what's being labelled as "straight-up trolling", so we'll have to keep an eye on the games that are refused permission to trade on Steam to get a better idea of what Valve ultimately thinks.
