Valve's Portal VR demo isn't a new Portal

With the HTC VR tech being shown off at GDC currently, it's be more surprising than not that Valve wouldn't have demos to showcase the headset.

But one thing they're categorically not showing is a new Portal title with the technology. While multiple reports are swirling online that one HTC demo showcased what looked to be Portal 3, Valve's director of marketing Doug Lombardi has stated that's not the case - it's just a demo created to show off the tech.

Speaking to him at GDC, he told us "it's a room we did. A demo. W're not announcing anything." He further backed that statement to PCGamer to confirm it wasn't an indication of anything in the works, saying "it's just a demo".
