Virtus.pro has recently announced that it will not be able to attend the Rainbow Six: Siege Six Invitational 2021 this year, due to surprise positive Covid-19 tests on two of its players.

The organisation has stated that when boot camp for the tournament began on May 4, the team showed negative on tests across the board, but "as soon as the players went home to prepare for departure we ran another round of tests that came back positive for Alan and Andrey."

The Six Invitational is the largest tournament in the competitive Rainbow Six Siege calendar year, and despite delays and uncertainty around this year's event, Ubisoft has managed to deliver a tournament. V.P is not the only team that will not be able to attend, as Wildcard Gaming was never given the go-ahead to travel to the event.

Virtus.pro has also stated, "We'd like to apologise to all of our fans for not being able to perform at SI. We hope that Alan and Audrey will soon recover and start preparing for the next tournaments."
