Update: Bigben has since reached out to clarify that the four legendary crates mentioned below are not loot crates or lootboxes. These are a pack of four cosmetic helmets, one for each class, that are a pre-order bonus for the game. Lootboxes won't feature in the game.

The upcoming action-RPG from Eko Software, Warhammer: Chaosbane, is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 4 of this year, as revealed by publisher Bigben Interactive. To celebrate the announcement, a pre-order trailer was released, showing the various bonuses available.

Pre-ordering - which fans can do right now on digitally and at select retailers - will let players access the two different beta phases, one that will be starting in March and the second in April. Apart from this, they'll also be rewarded with an experience bonus that will stay active for the entirety of the character's progression, as well as four legendary crates. During the beta, players will be able to experience the beginning of the game's campaign as well as test the different classes and the co-op mode before release, with more concrete details coming soon.

As for the different editions, they'll of course reward players a few different things, as listed in the image below, but worth noting is the fact that the Magnus Edition will open the game up for an early release (May 31) for those willing to spend the extra money.

Chaosbane is described as "the first hack and slash to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world", and takes us to the Old World where we can fight our way to victory. Bloodlust is a unique mechanic that's coming too, unleashing "devastating power" that can really give you a boost in combat.

Are you going to pre-order?

REVIEW. Written by Ben Lyons

"It lets players face the action in whichever way they choose, be it a staggeringly difficult battle through chaos beasties or just a relaxing horde slaying experience."
