Ubisoft hosted a stream earlier this evening to unveil Watch Dogs 2, its protagonist, setting and new features. The player takes control of Marcus Holloway, a brilliant young hacker who falls victim to the algorithms of the ctOS 2.0 technology and is accused of a crime he didn't commit.

As several leaks has hinted over the last months, San Francisco has been confirmed to be the new setting for the game. The Californian city is the latest to adopt the ctOS 2.0 tech and incorporate it into its infrastructure and Marcus makes it his mission to take it down once and for all. Since he's a hacker you will be able to "hack everything", which includes NPCs, vehicles and connected devices. The game lets you take control of and weaponise objects such as drones and cranes as you see fit.

Ubisoft has revamped the traversal systems of the original game to make its parkour more accessible and more useful than before and the player still gets the choice of utilising stealth or taking a more direct, violent approach to any given situation.

The missions are playable in any order and all have their separate storylines, all of them adding on to Marcus' follower count and getting you closer to the end of the game. The multiplayer is built to be seamless, boasting both co-op and competitive modes without the need for separate lobbies or loading screens.

Watch Dogs 2 is set for worldwide release on November 15 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Below you will find the first trailer and some fresh screens as well as the box art.
