Westworld is the most watched HBO premiere since True Detective

They may have another hit on their hands.

Westworld debuted on HBO on Sunday. It's a re-interpretation of the 1973 movie with the same name written by Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton about a futuristic theme park inhabited by artificial beings.

The pilot episode drew in 3.3 million viewers which makes up for a really good start for the new show. It's the most watched debut on HBO since 2014s True Detective, which also attracted 3.3 million views.
