Despite Bethesda's lawsuit being settled by the end of 2018, Westworld is closing its doors permanently in April.

It has certainly been a rollercoaster of emotions for Behaviour Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Westworld mobile game, as last year we heard that Bethesda was suing the pair after claiming that they had copied elements of Fallout Shelter, before ultimately settling that lawsuit at the end of the year.

If you thought that would be the last we'd hear of Westworld, then think again. The official Twitter account for the game reveals that the game has been removed from sale and officially closes on April 16. The in-game store has also been shut down with immediate effect, and the statement urges fans to use their in-game currency before April.

No specific reason was given for the closure, but the statement did thank fans for their time and adds that the team is sorry to see the game go. Considering the recent lawsuit though, perhaps it's reasonable to assume this might have something to do with the decision.

REVIEW. Written by Bengt Lemne

"As it stands, even if Westworld is full of things to click and manage, it comes across as a bit pointless."
