Will Smith really wants to make a Deadshot movie

David Ayer's DC movie Suicide Squad was a troubled tale filled with poorly motivated characters and plot holes. Even still, the actor behind Deadshot's white mask - Will Smith - has recently stated that he would love to star in a standalone movie about the iconic DC character. It's currently unclear if/when Suicide Squad 2 will happen, so perhaps we'll get that Deadshot movie instead?

Here's what Smith had to say when asked if there was any chance of a standalone Deadshot movie during his recent interview with Heroic Hollywood:

"I hope so, I love playing Deadshot. I'm really enjoying that character. They've been talking about it. If a good idea comes around... we've been having meetings but I would love to. I love Deadshot."
