"Wii U is right around the corner - perhaps that will change the lay of the land."

That's what Dan O'Leary said when asked about the possibility of returning to work on Winter, the put on hold Project Dark for Nintendo Wii.

Winter was a survival horror game, exclusively in development for Nintendo Wii, with an art style inspired by Silent Hill and first person shooter elements incorporated in the gameplay. Publishers kept turning the project down as they didn't see it as a good fit for the platform.

Not resigned to give up n-Space's Dan O'Leary says: "We are very keen on going back to Winter at some point." After the statement that Wii U may change the willingness from publishers to commit, O'Leary commented on other means to finance the project, such as the increasingly popular "crowd funding":

"I reckon, that Kickstarter is a brilliant way to finance some of the games, that may not otherwise have been published. I know of several projects, that have been very successful through Kickstarter, that were turned down by publishers time and time again. Now they have two or three million dollars to work with."
