SNOW, or Snow as we have it in our database, is an open world winter sports game developed by Poppermost and Crytek, has left Early Access. There are two versions available, a free-to-play version and the Ultimate Edition. The free-to-play version gets access to four methods of travel: Walking, Skiing, Snowboarding and Snowmobiling, and players will be able to explore Tyro Valley (the beginners' mountain), X Games 2016, and grab a temporary pass for Sialia once you've completed Tyro Valley.
On the other hand, the Ultimate edition will provide access to all mountains, tracks, events and cosmetics. This includes skis, snowboards, drones, mountain props, and snowmobiles. Owners of the Ultimate Edition will also get a brand-new mountain - X Games Aspen 2018 - which they can explore. Players who had previously spent five euros/dollars or more on the game in Early Access will receive the Ultimate Edition for free after launch.
Crytek CEO Avni Yerli has expressed his excitement about working with Poppermost on Snow. "We're happy to be collaborating with Poppermost on this exciting project," he said. "As Poppermost licensed Cryengine for Snow, we have closely followed its development from the beginning, so of course we offered to step in to help Alexander Bergendahl, as well as to support a great community of SNOW players in seeing the launch of the game."
Snow is out now on PC. You can pick up the free version, or the Ultimate Edition £17.49 (although the game will be 35% off until February 21). The PS4 version of the game remains in paid beta.
