While it is not as exciting as a brand new Wipeout it is nice to see one of PlayStation's most iconic franchises hitting PlayStation 4 with Wipeout Omega Collection. Bundling up modes, ships and tracks from Wipeout 2048, Wipeout HD, and Wipeout Fury, in glorious 4K resolution (on PS4 Pro), at 60 frames per second, and with HDR support, this promises to look stellar.
A total of nine playable modes (Zone, Tournament, Speed Lap, Time Trial and Single Race from HD, Zone Battle, Eliminator and Detonator from Fury and Career Mode from 2048) along with 26 unique tracks and 46 ship models make for a rather massive package.
Sony teases more news on the game in the coming months, but there is no firm release date beyond "summer" at this point.
