Woman in a relationship with Tetris, wants to marry it

Many of us love Tetris, but perhaps not this much.

This isn't the first time we've heard about a wedding between a human and a video game. Those with a keen memory will remember the notorious case of a young Japanese man who married a Nintendo DS with Konami's Love Plus. However, in that particular case, there was a female AI on the other side of the screen. For Fractal Tetris Huracan (her real name is Noorul Mahjabeen Hassan), she only has eyes for one game and one game only.

"I think Tetris is so beautiful, he is about perfection and he stimulates your mind. Physically I get that feeling that people in relationships get - that you know they are the right one", she told Metro. "I love him so much and get an immense sense of satisfaction with him. I have a strong connection with him and have invested so much in him."

Given how she feels about the classic block-dropping video game, Fractal Tetris Huracan wants to show her love to the world and marry it. As revealed to the Metro, Huracan plays twelve hours a day, but it's not just a digital relationship, her love is also physical, with lots of themed objects related to or decorated with tetrominoes adorning her room.

She is objectum sexual, an identity defined by the attraction to physical objects. Before Tetris, Fractal was in a relationship with a calculator, a Garmin GPS, an oscilloscope, and also with a Weighted Companion Cube (that's related to Valve's Portal, in case you didn't know).

If you think this is a fetish, however, you'd be incorrect, and Fractal explains the difference: "A fetish is sexual whereas objectum sexual is more romantic. You have actual feelings and feel like you emotionally connect with the objects."

Fractal might have drawn plenty of attention to herself with the news of her impending nuptials, but she hopes her story helps other people who identify in the same way. "I am not doing anyone or anything any harm. What is the issue? They think it's weird but I ask them to give me one good reason why I shouldn't date Tetris and they can't," she concludes.
