Wonder Woman 2 confirmed to take place in the 1980s

The first Wonder Woman film with Gal Gadot was a smash hit worldwide, and now director Patty Jenkins has revealed at ComicCon that the next film will take place in the 1980s, a fair bit after the original World War II setting of the first film.

This film will be specifically set during the Cold War, and we also know that actress Kristen Wiig will play the role of Cheetah in the film, which we can expect to see in November of 2019. For now though, we'll have to deal with rewatching Wonder Woman in her own film as well as Batman v Superman and Justice League.
