World of Tanks goes mobile

Wargaming's brand of tank combat is set roll onto smartphones and tablet devices, at some yet to be determined point in the future. It'll be available on Android and iOS devices, and allow for up to 7v7 PvP matches.

Blitz will feature tanks from several nations including USA, Germany and the USSR, with gameplay modelled on that from the PC version of the popular MMO shooter.

Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming, said: "With World of Tanks Blitz we're doing our best to give players a gaming experience that would rival anything they could find on a console. We've always been committed to bringing World of Tanks to new platforms and we're excited to give players a chance to experience the game in a whole new way."
