Turns out World of Warcraft is far from done and with the release of Warlords of Draenor the game once again sports in excess of 10 million subscribers worldwide. In its first 24 hours World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor sold more than 3.3 million copies. Blizzard are seeing growth across all major regions.
"We're thrilled that so many players jumped in to play Warlords of Draenor on day one and are having a great time with the new content," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We poured a lot of hard work and passion into this expansion, and we appreciate all the kind words from players and the overwhelming support they continue to show for World of Warcraft."
Of course, the massive influx of players did cause issues with the servers, but those problems seem to have subsided now.
