World of Warplanes launch date announced

Wargaming's next MMO-shooter is coming out of beta.

World of Warplanes is coming out of beta, and Wargaming has announced a release date of September 26 in Europe and North America.

The flight-centric shooter, that hopes to mimic the success of its tank-based counterpart (World of Tanks), will be free-to-play. New assets, a trailer and some screens, have been released in support of the announcement which lands just in time for this year's Gamescom.
