UMG Media Corp has announced that it is bringing an esports stage to the World Series of Poker - which starts on May 29 - meaning that players and spectators can compete in games like Fortnite, Hearthstone, FIFA, and more at the UMG Esports Stage, located in the Pavilion Room of the Rio Convention Center.

"Last year we watched our initiative to grow esports in Las Vegas grow by leaps and bounds," explains Dave Antony, CEO at UMG. "Bringing the UMG Esports Stage into the World Series of Poker events is an amazing next step in continuing this initiative into 2018 and beyond. UMG will utilize its ground breaking event management app to help organize the event and to constantly update participants of upcoming play and special events at the UMG stage."

A short video has also been released to show how the UMG Esports Stage will work, as it will feature both PC and Xbox consoles and will be open each day of the event, with more detailed schedules available on the UMG app and website nearer the time.

Is this a good crossover between poker and esports?
