World of Warcraft fans have been kept busy with the Battle for Azeroth expansion that landed last year, but now Part 2 of the Tides of Vengeance update has arrived to add even more to the mix, as detailed on the official website for the game.

A new raid called Battle of Dazar'alor is included, providing both Horde and Alliance players with unique encounters. What's more is that it also lets players see events from the other faction's viewpoint, and you can find a full preview of the raid right here.

PvP Season 2 has also landed to introduce an updated Conquest reward schedule, gear, and mounts. Players that earn 500 Conquest points in a week through PvP activities like Assaults and Arenas will still be able to choose a piece of gear from the selection each week, but now they can also earn a Quartermaster's coin which is needed to upgrade pieces from this season's Gladiator PvP set. Again, more on the nitty-gritty of Season 2 can be found here.

As for Season 2 of the Mythic Keystone Dungeon, this also means new rewards and challenges. High-level keystones will now summon Bwonsamdi, the Loa of Death, to cause chaos during the dungeon run. As you kill enemies, spirits will linger, and Bwonsamdi can resurrect these enemies once more.

Blizzard is also bringing new epic Azerite pieces from PvP Season 2, the Battle of Dazar'alor raid, World Quest Emissaries, and from the Thaumaturge Vashreen vendor in Zuldazar and Boralus. What's so special about these new items? Well, they have a fifth ring with additional new trait options, as you can find out in this blog post.

Increases to both difficulty and rewards are coming to dungeon and world encounters too, but with the increased difficulty the maximum item level is increasing to 425. With regards to Battle for Darkshore Warfront, these rewards will also increase to 400 from the outdoor boss and the Warfront quest, although it'll be harder and the item level required will now be 335 as a result. These changes go into effect once the current Warfront cycle is over.

World Quest Emissary armour and weapon rewards are scaling up to 385 too, based on your own item level, although rewards for original Battle for Azeroth world bosses are remaining at item level 355. With regards to Normal, Heroic, and Mythic dungeons though, these are increasing as follows:

Normal-340
Heroic-355
Mythic- 370(baseline)

Lastly, Mythic Keystone Dungeon Season 2 rewards are capped at Mythic 6 quality (385 in item level) with PvP end-of-match rewards capped at 385, while Seals of Wartorn Fate aren't being reset. This same currency can also be used for Battle of Dazar'alor and Season 2 bonus rolls.

That's a lot to take in, so the screenshots and video below will help you get a better understanding of what's included.

Have you been eagerly awaiting this update?

REVIEW. Written by Clover Harker

"Horde and Alliance facing off against each other once more doesn't feel like a repetitive blast from the past but rather an intriguing dive into the unknown."
