WWE 2K20 to release in October, cover stars revealed

Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns to adorn the cover of WWE 2K20, 2K Games announced recently. Premium editions detailed.

2K Games recently announced the features, cover stars and release date for this year's instalment of the WWE 2K game franchise. This time around, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Superstar Roman Reigns are adorning the WWE 2K20 cover and serve as ambassadors for the WWE 2K20 marketing campaign.

In the press release, Chris Snyder (Vice President of Marketing, 2K) stated that "Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns embody passion, determination and perseverance, and they're both major game-changers within the larger WWE landscape,". "They are the spirit of WWE 2K20, which is going to introduce changes requested by our fans. They asked for female-driven MyCAREER and 2K Showcase offerings, and we're giving them just that, as well as streamlined controls and our brand new WWE 2K20 Originals. We can't wait to reveal more details soon".

So, naturally, it seems as though 2K is listening to the fans of the franchise to make 2K20 happen and you won't have to wait too long to play the game if you're interested. WWE 2K20 is set to release on October 22 of this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you're unsure of which edition of the game you'd want to purchase, buying the Deluxe Edition or the Collector's Edition will net you in-game bonuses, including playable WWE Superstars Chyna, Hulk Hogan, Mankind and The Rock.

WWE 2K20 will include several franchise firsts, streamlined gameplay and a variety of modes. One of these modes is the 2K Showcase: The Women's Evolution, an objective-based story mode following the careers of the Four Horsewomen, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.

Players will also be able to play as both male and female Superstars in the MyCareer mode as well as in Mixed Tag matches.

The two premium editions of the game, Deluxe Edition and Collector's Edition, have been detailed as well. The Deluxe Edition will be available in both physical and digital varieties and includes a special Deluxe Edition box (physical edition), access to all unlockable content, a MyPlayer rating/attribute boost, 25,000 VC to unlock more Superstars, moves and more, all boost slots unlocked, 15 free boosts, 2,000 free tokens, 400 free Deluxe tokens, WWE SuperCard Limited Edition Cards (physical edition) and access to the previously mentioned premium edition Superstars and outfit variants.

As for the Collector's Edition, which is only available in physical form, this will include a Collector's Edition box, access to all unlockable content, a MyPlayer rating/attribute boost, 25,000 VC to unlock more Superstars, moves and more, 25 additional Attribute Points, 8 additional Skill Points, all boost slots unlocked, 15 free boosts, 2,000 free tokens, 400 free Deluxe tokens, an exclusive WWE SmackDown! Ring Skirt Relic Piece (2002-2008), a limited Edition WWE SmackDown! Legend Autographed Plaque (Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio or Edge, WWE SuperCard Limited Edition Cards and access to the previously mentioned premium edition Superstars and outfit variants.
