Xcom 2 devs paying modders to expand the game at launch

The pro-modders responsible for the really tough and popular (with more than half a million downloads) The Long War mod for the Xcom reboot have been asked to work on its upcoming sequel by developers Firaxis Games. The team has been invited to work on not only one, but multiple mods that should be ready when Xcom 2 officially launches in just two week's time.

The content or modifications this work will add are still unknown, but modders will show some of them at the upcoming PAX South event. All will be livestreamed, as recently confirmed. Xcom 2 launches on PC, Mac and Linux on February 5.
