XIII is a cel-shaded shooter that first showed its face in 2003, and while we already knew that we were getting a remake of the iconic game, Microids has now revealed on Twitter that the release date has been pushed back into 2020, which is when we'll see it on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

Aside from a short video attached to the tweet there was nothing else said about this version, although we can expect the same tale of Thirteen, accused of assassinating the President of the United States.

"We are thrilled with PlayMagic's work so far. This additional development time is needed to reach the level of polish we're aiming for. The announcement was greeted by an overwhelming response from the community and we'll make sure to deliver the best possible game to our fans," says François Coulon, Head of Production at Microïds.
