Fnatic are preparing for the upcoming League of Legends European Championship (LEC), and has announced their new management team, including Joey 'YoungBuck' Steltenpool as head coach, as Jan 'Careion' Hoffmann moves into a directorial role from his position as Heroes of the Storm and Paladins manager.

Elsewhere Louis-Victor 'Mephisto' Legendre is the assistant coach, while Samir 'Gegemont' Mamedau is the head analyst and Jeremias Knehr is assistant team manager.

"When reviewing what we could improve on, the most important factor in hiring an assistant coach was being able to teach the players new macro-game concepts. With Dylan having spent two years with the team and myself having spent one year here, we felt it a necessity to bring in new blood with different perspectives. It's always important to keep stimulating the growth we go through as a team," YoungBuck explained on the choice of Mephisto.

"In the hiring process, I therefore asked multiple people to teach me something new. The person we chose ended up teaching me multiple new concepts in a short amount of time and left the competition far behind him as a result of that."

The LEC starts on January 18, so we don't have to wait too long to see European League of Legends return at its highest level, including Fnatic.

Is this a good management team?
