Back in February game director Yusuke Hashimoto surprisingly announced he was leaving PlatinumGames after no less than 13 years in the Japanese studio. He was reportedly directing Bayonetta 3 after Bayonetta 2 and Star Fox Zero, but that was never officially confirmed and the developer stayed silent. Until today.
Now, Hashimoto-san has shared the artwork below on his personal Twitter. The piece is the work by Tatsuya Yoshikawa (who, as pointed out by Gematsu, previously created characters for the DmC and Breath of Fire series), and the former Platinum dev describes it as a piece of "Concept art for an original project".
What project would it be, and by with development team, remains to be seen, although we expect an action-packed experience. For us, it looks like an exciting Bayonetta meets Kid Icarus, but that might just be our fan imagination. What do you think?
